The birth of my empire:
Sometimes our most significant blessings present as a test or trial. The art of parenting requires the balance of love, discipline, motivation and character building.
As a devoted single mother of three (Jackie, Autumn and Cooper), I have been up against my own unique set of challenges. I cannot image a greater achievement than empowering my children to become productive, affluent, self-sufficient members of their community and society. I am their biggest fan. I take great pride in supporting them in both academic and athletic endeavors. Their passions for football and soccer have become mine.
To effectively balance motherhood it became critical to embrace my foundation and love for church, family, traveling, and zest for life. Coupled with small town values instilled by my mother Gloria Bright Blakeney and an entrepreneur spirit passed down from my father the late Calvin Blakeney, I was destined for great things. It is not enough to just run this race of life. We are called to vigorously accept challenges and triumphantly compete. We are perfectly created to cultivate our gifts.
My weekly routine of transporting my oldest son Jackie to football practice three days a week, awakened my creative thoughts. “How nice would it be if there was a reliable, trustworthy and responsible source of transportation available to safely bring him home after practice?" The seed was planted, not ready to be harvested.
Three years later, I was into my third pregnancy, my body longed for rest between practices. It was time to water the seed, cultivate the fruits of my gift, and birth my empire. The time had come to step out on faith. My longtime dream of Mom's Magic Minibus manifested into my very own business.
We are a transportation company that will provide quality services to parents. A service which would give them a peace of mind regarding their children’s transportation needs to and from their destinations.
"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
